Dealing with a chronic illness includes tests and challenges coming at you from all sides.

Today’s Bible Verse:

James 1:2-4 (KJV), “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”

What the Verses Mean:

The verse tells us that we will face tests and challenges. These test and challenges force you to live your faith or to fail to live your faith. We shouldn’t run from or try to get out of the situation you are facing. Allow God to develop and grow you in your faith. Your testimony will be to his honor and glory.

Praying using the verses:

  1. Pray that as you or your loved one faces challenges from all sides that they will maintain an attitude of joy. This is especially true as you face the continuing challenges of cancer and its treatments. This includes both the financial burden of the bills and the billing and insurance issues.
  2. Pray that you would be prepared through your in Christ when the trails of various kinds confront you.
  3. Pray that you would be steadfast in your trust in Lord. Why? This is where the steadfastness will have its full effect.
